My soul lay down in the dust shrouded in darkness

My soul lay down in the dust, shrouded in darkness Damned by the shadows of death Then came a voice from the heavens, piercing the darkness 'Arise, awake, thy light is come!'

Now I'm released from the grave, raised from the ashes I stand in His presence again I am sustained by His mercy, drawn by His beauty My heart is ablaze once again.
